Beef Goulash Soup
Traditional beef goulash soup with beef, peppers, and potatoes. This hearty soup is a classic comfort food, perfect for a chilly evening. The rich flavors of beef, paprika, and warming spices create a deeply satisfying and flavorful dish that’s sure to please.

Ingredients
- 1kgbeef
- 2-large onions
- 2-peppers
- 4-medium-sized potatoes
- 3-garlic cloves
- 2tablespoonssweet paprika
- 1teaspoonhot paprika
- 1teaspooncaraway seeds
- 2-tablespoons oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2literswater or beef broth
Instructions
- Cut the beef into cubes (approx. 2–3 cm).
- Season with salt, pepper, and hot paprika.
- Brown in oil over high heat until the meat is browned.
- Chop the onions into strips or cubes.
- Chop the peppers into cubes.
- Sauté the onions and peppers in oil until softened and lightly golden.
- Transfer the meat, onions, and peppers to a large pot.
- Add about 2 liters of water (or broth).
- Add the garlic, crushed through a press.
- Stir in a generous amount of sweet paprika.
- Simmer over low heat, covered, for about 1–1.5 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Peel and chop the potatoes into cubes.
- Add to the soup and cook for another approx. 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Taste and season with salt, pepper, and additional paprika (sweet or hot – to taste).
