Pork in Sauce with Leek and Carrot
Tender and crumbly pork in a leek and carrot sauce. It can be prepared a day in advance and reheated.

Ingredients
- 1tablespoonolive oil
- 1tablespoonbutter
- 1pieceleek
- 1clovegarlic
- 1piececarrot
- 700gramspork shoulder (boneless)
- a pinchdried oregano
- a pinchred paprika
- a pinchpepper
- 500milliliterswater
- 3tablespoonssoy sauce
- 1teaspoonpotato starch
- 1teaspoonwheat flour
Instructions
- In a pot, sauté the chopped leek and butter over olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for a moment longer.
- Pour in hot water with soy sauce, add the spices: dried oregano, paprika, and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Cut the pork into slices of approximately 1 cm thickness and add it to the boiling broth.
- After re-boiling, reduce the heat to medium, cover the pot, and cook the meat for about 30 minutes. Turn it over twice in the meantime.
- Add the peeled and diced carrot and continue cooking, covered, until the meat is tender for about 45 minutes.
- Strain both flours through a sieve directly into the meat, mix well, and bring to a boil.
